  The Williams Family sponsored some of the great plant hunters, their discoveries found a marvellous home in this coastal setting, north of the early 19th century castle, designed by Nash.

Eden Project
The Eden Project is a gateway into the world of plants and people. A meeting place for all to discover how we depend on plants and how we can help to manage and conserve them for our mutual survival.

Lost Gardens of Heligan Lost Gardens of Heligan A garden for all seasons, the Northern Garden comprises over thirty acres of Pleasure Grounds, and can best be described as a series of gardens within a garden, each with its own distinctive character; the Italian Garden, New Zealand, Crystal Grotto and wishing well, Northern Summerhouse Garden, Fern Ravine, Sundial Garden and Flora's Green (surrounded by a magnificent collection of 'Hooker' Rhododendrons, Camellias and Magnolias).

Trebah

One of the 'Great Gardens of Cornwall' and part of the 'Eden Trail' is rated among the 80 most beautiful gardens in the world.

This lovely wild sub-tropical ravine paradise winds through huge plantations of 100 year old giant tree ferns, rhododendrons, magnolias, camellias, palms and 2 acres of massed hydrangeas to a private beach on the Helford River.

A Paradise for artists, plantsmen, children and families.


Tresco Tresco Abbey Gardens
Augustus Smith created Tresco Abbey Gardens in 1834 around the remains of the 12th Century St Nicholas Priory. The gardens contain a unique collection of plants, many of which are too tender for outdoor cultivation on the British mainland. Tresco Abbey Gardens flourishes in the warm Gulf Stream climate and it is regarded by botanists as one of the most interesting and varied botanical experiments in the world.
Day trip tickets are available in the season via helicopter from Penzance (check with British International Helicopters +44 (0)1736 363871.

Tregwainton
This garden is perhaps the best for growing exotic trees and shrubs.Tender species flourish in the unusually mild climate. There is a new pond and summerhouse with fine views to St Michaels Mount. Great collection of magnolias, and camellias with a series of walled gardens.The stream garden alongside the drive bordered by beechwood gives much colour.NT. Garden open 20 Feb - 31 Oct, Sun - Thurs, Good Fri & BHs 10am - 5 30pm. Dogs on lead, disabled access, teas at Tregwainton Farm, weather permitting.

Dorset
An English Country Garden The garden is on a hillside in Netherbury, a small village in Dorset, in the South West of England. It has regularly opened to visitors as part of Netherbury's annual Open Gardens weekend.
On the second weekend in June each year, gardens in Netherbury, Dorset are open to visitors to raise funds for the parish church. In June 2001, the gardens will open on Saturday and Sunday, 9th and 10th, between 2pm and 6pm
